Class Participant Commitments & Expectations

  • Attendance to 90% of the classes as well as the orientation, or I will not
graduate with my class.  I will, however, be given the opportunity to attend
classes that I missed the next year and upon successful completion, will
graduate.  The $30.00 cost for a make-up session is non-refundable and due
    prior to attending that session.

  • Participate at the highest level in all sessions including, but not limited to,
preparing for sessions, participating in field trips and completing homework
assignments.  All sessions will begin on time and I agree to be on time to class,
to participate in class, and remain until the class has concluded.  I understand
all cell phones and other electronic devices must be turned off during the
sessions.  I agree to dress in a professional manner for all class sessions.

  • Active involvement in a class project, to be defined by, planned for and
developed by class members in conjunction with agencies selected by the
    Leadership Washington County Curriculum Committee.

  • Solicitation of any kind, including but not limited to fundraising, on behalf of
Leadership Washington County is not permitted without prior approval from the
Executive Board of Leadership Washington County.

  • Evaluations must be completed at the end of each session in order to receive
    credit for attending that session.

  • The $975 class fee must be paid in full prior to the orientation session.

As a class participant, I expect Leadership Washington County will provide:

  • Adequate notice and timely distribution of materials and information required
for class sessions, homework assignments (30 days in advance of class), and
field trip assignments (60 days in advance of class).

  • Access to representatives who serve as liaisons to the Leadership Washington
    County Board of Directors.

  • An opportunity for a representative of this year’s class to serve as a liaison to
the Leadership Washington County Board of Directors the following year.

  • Promotion of community awareness of class activities and its participants
    throughout the year.

  • Information about the volunteer need of non-profits and municipalities in
    Washington County.

  • An opportunity for class members to meet and network with other community
    leaders.

  • Classes that are engaging, interactive and participative for a more beneficial
    learning experience.
